National Grid is an energy company operating in the UK and US, owning and operating the transmission network and a portion of the distribution network in the UK, as well as some of the longest subsea HVDC interconnectors in the world, including North Sea Link which connects the UK with Norway.

Role in the GGI Ecosystem

The team bring their expertise in renewable energy generation, including solar, onshore wind and battery storage to the initiative.

​

Supporting the GGI-OSOWOG joint Secretariat, National Grid focusses on sharing experience of the integration of renewable energy, in support of developing green grids. The team are members of the Africa, Asia-Pacific and Finance working groups, bringing technical expertise to projects.
