On 4 November 2021, following the launch of the GGI-OSOWOG partnership by world leaders at COP26, a Ministerial event was held to lay out the vision for the partnership and the GGI Ecosystem. Ministers from Australia, France, India, Nigeria, the UK and US and the Prime Minister of Samoa spoke during the event.
